It is luxuriously gentle against a baby’s skin, can breathe (unlike synthetics such as polyester), and due to it’s complex coil fibres can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. Merino wool reacts to changes in body temperatures, keeping baby at a constant body temperature, warm when cold and releasing heat and moisture when hot. This limits heat rashes in children with sensitive skins.
